Job Title
Cyberlysmart is hiring Digital Graphics Designer to augment development squads. We continue to ramp up our modern digital and SaaS based products. A digital designer is a type of graphic designer who develops projects using digital tools.
Place of Work
The future place of work will be Cyberlysmart in London. Temporary premises may be home based until operational location is identified. Occasionally work will be required at alternative locations including partners based in London, Reading and Manchester. We are aiming to fill this position around October and November 2023 time frame.
Salary and Hours of work
Cyberlysmart’s full-time employees work 37.5 hours normally over 5 days. Due to the nature of this role, however, and to meet the demands of the business, the post holder will need to be reasonably flexible in their approach to work. The full-time salary for this role is £22,000 per annum to be paid monthly in arears.
Reporting Relationships
The post-holder will initially report to the Director for Cyberlysmart. However, as the organization develops, this reporting relationship may change.
Main Duties:
The Digital Graphics Designer will work hand in hand with the marketing team to output design projects across digital, print and in-store applications. Your expertise in digital design tools, user experience (UX) principles, and creative problem-solving will play a key role in crafting impactful digital experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Digital Design Creation: Develop innovative and visually appealing designs for digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, social media, email campaigns, and online advertisements. Create designs that align with user experience best practices and brand guidelines.
- User-Centered Design: Utilize UX/UI principles to create designs that prioritize user needs, usability, and accessibility. Ensure that designs provide a seamless and engaging experience for users across different devices and screen sizes.
- Visual Identity: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and brand guidelines. Translate these insights into digital designs that maintain consistency with the brand’s visual identity.
- Interactive Elements: Incorporate interactive elements, animations, and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement and usability within digital interfaces.
- Responsive Design: Design layouts that are responsive and adaptable, ensuring a cohesive experience across various devices and screen orientations.
- Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes using tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or other relevant software to showcase design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.
- Design Optimization: Optimize digital designs for performance, considering factors like page load times, image compression, and other technical considerations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with web developers, UX/UI designers, content creators, and project managers to ensure the successful execution of digital projects. Effectively communicate design specifications and collaborate on implementation.
- Feedback Integration: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from team members, clients, and stakeholders to refine and improve digital designs.
- Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with evolving design trends, emerging technologies, and digital best practices to continuously enhance your digital design skills.
Person specification:
- 5 year’s experience in company/agency in a design role.
- Adobe Suite knowledge (esp. InDesign, Aftereffects, Photoshop)
- Strong knowledge of Figma
- Demonstrated experience as a Digital Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing digital design projects across various platforms.
- Proficiency in using digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or other relevant software.
- Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Ability to create interactive prototypes to showcase design concepts and interactions.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic understanding of web development principles is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital designs within project deadlines.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced, ever-changing digital landscape.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and provide user-focused solutions.
